The 2023 girls basketball season ended with a loss against St. Mary’s high school in the first round of regional playoffs. The Cowboys ended their season with a 12-11 record.

The girls turned a lot of heads this year after struggling the past few years. With big wins over high ranked teams in the state, the girls are really starting to make a name for themselves. Lily Wild, a Junior and team captain on the team has this to say about the season “ We finished strong as a team, we also made sure to leave everything we had out there”. With regionals being single elimination the girls sadly had their season end.. The coaches stated many times that these ladies can compete with anyone. The girls are a young team and are expecting to be back at regionals next year and to go farther. 

 With the past seasons only winning a few games, and some seasons none at all, this 2023 year has been a success. The team has lots of young talent, so fans can expect to see  the girls basketball program continue to grow and succeed a lot in future seasons.
